Frequently Asked Questions

How does Skedda’s pricing compare to Robin?

Skedda charges per bookable space; Robin charges per user. For a hybrid team where only a fraction of employees come in on any given day, this is a significant cost difference. A 200-person company with 45 bookable spaces pays $349/month on Skedda’s Premier plan. The same company on Robin at typical market rates ($5–8/user/month) pays $1,000–$1,600/month, before factoring in Robin’s paid add-ons for analytics, floor plan updates, and premium support. Skedda’s pricing is published at skedda.com/pricing. Robin’s pricing requires contacting sales.

Does Skedda have the AI scheduling features that Robin offers?

Not currently. Robin’s AI scheduling agent (which handles meeting conflict resolution, predicts bookings based on history, and suggests desks automatically) is one of Robin’s most differentiated features and is not part of Skedda’s current product. If AI-driven scheduling automation is a core requirement, Robin should be on your shortlist. Skedda focuses on reliable rules-based governance: booking conditions, quotas, buffer times, and approval workflows that admins configure and the system enforces automatically.

How long does it take to switch from Robin to Skedda?

Most teams are live on Skedda within a week. Skedda builds your floor plans within 48 hours of receiving your office layout, and onboarding is included on all plans. Premier customers get a dedicated implementation specialist who handles configuration and team training. The transition from Robin typically involves exporting your space data, recreating your booking rules in Skedda (which handles additional rule types Robin doesn’t support), and reconnecting your calendar integrations.

Does Skedda include analytics, or is it a paid add-on?

Analytics are included on all Skedda plans, no add-on required. The Insights dashboard shows space utilization by space type, user group, and time period. Data retention goes up to 7 years on Premier. Robin’s meaningful analytics require a paid add-on beyond the base subscription.

Can Skedda set buffer times between bookings?

Yes. Buffer times are a configurable booking condition in Skedda. You define how many minutes to reserve after each booking so the space can be cleaned, reset, or set up. Robin does not support buffer times between bookings.

How does Skedda’s support compare to Robin’s?

Skedda includes 24/5 live chat support on all plans and live phone support on Premier, at no additional cost. Robin’s standard support has received frequent G2 criticism for slow response times. More substantive support from Robin requires purchasing their VIP support tier. There is no VIP paywall at Skedda. Every customer gets the same responsive support.

Does Skedda support booking rules and policies?

Yes. Skedda’s Automation Rules engine supports: Booking Conditions, Approvals, Access and Visibility controls, Custom Fields, Booking Windows, Buffer Time, Quotas (per user or group), Repeat Bookings, Cancellation Policies, Auto Check-ins, and Booking Requests. Premier plans include unlimited conditions. Robin supports booking windows, min/max times, and role-based exclusions, but does not support buffer times or user quotas. Moreover, its booking approval logic is limited, only applying to rooms that are synced to an external calendar.

Does Skedda work with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?

Yes. Skedda has two-way sync with both Microsoft 365 (including Outlook) and Google Workspace. Bookings made in Skedda appear in your calendar, and calendar events block corresponding spaces in Skedda. The Microsoft Teams app is included on Premier.

Is Skedda used at universities?

Yes. Skedda’s per-space pricing model is particularly well-suited for higher education, where student populations are large but bookable spaces are limited in number. Harvard University, MIT, Boston University, Humber College, Columbia College, and Cornell College use Skedda to manage study rooms, labs, shared offices, and event spaces. Per-space pricing means a department can offer booking to hundreds of students without paying per-student licensing fees.
