We are excited to announce the launch of Skedda Two-way-sync with Google Workspace! This upgrade allows your team to book spaces where they are already getting their best work done.
Two-way sync streamlines your meetings so they are synced, up-to-date, and double-booking-free, helping improve your employees’ productivity and satisfaction.
With this feature, you can:
- Eliminate Double Bookings: Bookings made in Google Calendar and Skedda automatically sync, meaning there is no risk of double booking, and users can be where they need to be at the right time.
- Simplify Meeting Bookings: There is no need to manually update meetings—room and meeting information gets passed along automatically.
- Increase User Adoption: Bookings made in Google Calendar are now fully integrated into Skedda, simplifying space reservations and creating more accurate occupancy data. See how easy it is to launch Skedda to your employees and get them onboard.
Two-way sync with Google Workspace creates enhanced workflow efficiency, improves collaboration and productivity, and delivers consistent up-to-date information. Here’s what you can expect:
Enhanced Workflow Efficiency
Two-way sync ensures that any changes made to events, appointments, or meetings in Google Calendar are automatically reflected in Skedda, and vice-versa. You can automatically populate attendee lists from Google Calendar and see the most up-to-date room availability with Google Resources.
Whether using a computer, smartphone, or tablet, the booking data remains consistent. This synchronization enhances overall workflow efficiency by allowing your employees to access and manage their schedules across different devices and platforms seamlessly.
Skedda’s Two-way sync functionality also passes through important information like private meeting settings. Any meeting set to private within Google Caledar, will have key details hidden to non-participants.

Improved Collaboration and Productivity
Two-way sync enhances collaboration by ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding deadlines, meetings, and project milestones. Team members can quickly check the availability of others in their Google Calendars to touch base on important tasks or to follow up.
Teams can also more easily plan their days, weeks, or months when they have a centralized and synchronized view of their schedules. They no longer have to switch between multiple platforms just to see all the information, which helps prevent scheduling conflicts and improves overall coordination and productivity, especially in collaborative settings.

Consistent and Up-to-Date Information
With Two-Way Sync, teams don't need to manually update multiple calendars. Synchronization streamlines the process, saving time and reducing the risk of errors that may occur when updating platforms independently.
Two-way sync is especially useful for recurring events or appointments, as it ensures that any changes to the recurring schedule are automatically updated across all platforms. This ensures that everyone involved has the latest information and helps to avoid confusion in long-term or repetitive schedules.
In the event of a device failure or data loss, having synchronized calendars serves as a form of backup. Calendar data is stored in multiple locations, reducing the risk of losing important scheduling information.
