We’re proud to announce the release of Two-Way Sync with Microsoft 365 (MS365)! In addition to Skedda’s integration with MS Teams, this upgrade allows your team to book spaces where they are already getting their best work done.

For example, you can view attendees’ availability in your Outlook calendar when you’re looking to book a meeting. Once you find a time that works for everyone, you can instantly book a conference room in your calendar as well without having to switch to the Skedda platform.

Our powerful Two-Way Sync feature allows your organization to pair Skedda spaces to Microsoft Room/Resources in Outlook and have events/bookings on one side be synced with full integrity to the other.

With this upgrade, you can:

  • Create and manage bookings from your Outlook calendar
  • Review availability of rooms/attendees from your Outlook calendar
  • Automatically populate attendee lists from your Outlook calendar
  • Integrate Microsoft Teams meeting links with one click

Two-Way Sync streamlines your meetings so they are synced, up-to-date, and double-booking free, helping to improve your employees’ productivity and satisfaction. Here’s what you can expect:

Enhanced Workflow Efficiency

Two-Way Sync ensures that any changes made to events, appointments, or meetings in Microsoft are automatically reflected in Skedda, and vice-versa. You can automatically populate attendee lists from Outlook calendar and see the most up-to-date room availability with Microsoft Resources.

Whether using a computer, smartphone, or tablet, the booking data remains consistent. This synchronization enhances overall workflow efficiency by allowing your employees to access and manage their schedules across different devices and platforms seamlessly.

Improved Collaboration and Productivity

Two-Way Sync enhances collaboration by ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding deadlines, meetings, and project milestones. Team members can quickly check the availability of others in their Outlook calendar to touch base on important tasks or to follow up.

Teams can also more easily plan their days, weeks, or months when they have a centralized and synchronized view of their schedules. They no longer have to switch between multiple platforms just to see all the information, which helps prevent scheduling conflicts and improves overall coordination and productivity, especially in collaborative settings.

Consistent and Up-to-Date Information

With Two-Way Sync, teams don't need to manually update multiple calendars. Synchronization streamlines the process, saving time and reducing the risk of errors that may occur when updating platforms independently.

Two-Way Sync is especially useful for recurring events or appointments, as it ensures that any changes to the recurring schedule are automatically updated across all platforms. This ensures that everyone involved has the latest information and helps to avoid confusion in long-term or repetitive schedules.

In the event of a device failure or data loss, having synchronized calendars serves as a form of backup. Calendar data is stored in multiple locations, reducing the risk of losing important scheduling information.
