Well, that’s a wrap for November 2025. Crazy to think that December is now upon us. Time to start thinking about gift giving, folks – those scented candles for your strange coworkers aren’t going to buy themselves.
It’s been a productive month for our team here at Skedda, and we’d like to share what we’ve been working on lately. So grab a tea, a coffee, maybe even some milk if you prefer, and let’s dive into the details.
Communication is Key
The theme for this month was ✨healthy✨ communication. We know your teams have busy workdays and can’t always keep up to date with what’s happening in your Skedda venue. Bookings can be overlooked, check-ins missed, and important information lost in translation – it’s only natural. So, we’ve shipped some helpful improvements to Skedda’s notification functionality. We want to help your team stay up to date on all things booking-related so daily operations stay frictionless.
Here’s what we built!
Check-In Push Notifications
Based on your feedback, we made our check-in process even more seamless and reliable.
Now, when a booking window opens, users can instantly check in to their booking through a push notification in the Skedda mobile app. No hunting for links or digging through emails. Just tap, confirm, done.
Enabling push notifications is simple. After a user’s next successful mobile check-in, they’ll be prompted to turn on push notifications in their phone’s settings. Once enabled, Skedda will send a friendly nudge right when the check-in window opens — helping them stay on top of bookings and never miss a beat.
If you’d rather not wait for the prompt, you can also enable notifications directly through your phone’s app settings.
For push notifications to work, you’ll need to make sure the Skedda app is up to date on your phone.

Auto Check-In

The introduction of mobile push notifications this month has also helped us improve our automatic check-in functionality, tying it more closely to our occupancy data and reporting.
When a check-in window opens, the Skedda mobile app now gets a precise check-in reminder that wakes it up on the spot. This ensures the app is active at the exact moment it needs to be to confirm a user’s on-site status via an IP match on your organization’s network. With the app awake at the right time, IP matches land more consistently, attendance is recorded accurately, and automatic check-ins fire seamlessly.

Email Translations

We’ve also improved email notifications for organizations with multilingual teams.
Now, all automated email notifications from your Skedda venue are sent in each recipient’s preferred language, independent of your venue’s default language setting.
Emails are automatically translated to English, French, German, or Spanish based on the recipient’s in-app settings. When a user’s language preference isn’t set or can’t be detected, Skedda uses the venue’s default language instead.
We’re proud of this one. As modern workplaces continue to expand across borders and cultures, this update ensures every Skedda user has a comfortable and personalized experience with all communications from their venue.
Our work on email translations is only the latest improvement in our push to make Skedda more accessible in other languages. We added support for three new languages earlier this year, check it out!
