Summer is a season of change. With school holidays, PTO, and the flexibility of remote work, office attendance can become unpredictable. It can be incredibly frustrating commuting to the office only to discover that key team members aren’t there. This can turn a potentially collaborative and productive day into a missed opportunity, wasting not only your time but also disrupting your workflow and collaboration plans.
At a time where flexibility is key, the last thing you want is to feel disconnected from your team. Team and social connection is a primary reason why people choose to go into the office in the first place. Data from Microsoft’s Work Trend Index shows that 73% of employees would go to the office more frequently if they knew their direct team members would be there, and 74% would go in more frequently if they knew their “work friends” were there (Harvard Business Review).
Make your commute worthwhile and your office days productive by knowing who’s coming into the office ahead of time—all within the apps you’re already using.
See who is coming in with Skedda for Slack & Microsoft Teams
Skedda’s newest feature within Slack and Microsoft Teams was designed to help you plan your office visits better and avoid those frustrating days when you arrive at an empty office. This tool allows you to see which colleagues will be in the office on any given day, enabling you to make informed decisions about when to commute and when to work from home.
You can check office attendance within any Slack channel or any Microsoft Teams channel with Skedda enabled.
Have a project check-in and want to know which members of the team will be in the office? Simply ask Skedda in the project channel, and get a list of who has booked a desk in that channel for the week.

On Slack:
- Type /skedda-in to get a list of active bookings from members of the channel
- Type /skedda-in setup to schedule a recurring bookings report
- Voilá! Skedda will reply with a list of active bookings for the week. Commute regret is a thing of the past 👋

On Microsoft Teams:
- Type “@Skedda in “
- Huzzah! The Skedda bot will respond with a list of bookings made for the upcoming week. Avoid coming in on a stay-at-home Summer Friday 🏖️
