Introducing AllBooked by Skedda

What is AllBooked by Skedda, and who is it for?
We’re incredibly excited to launch AllBooked by Skedda, our offering powered by Skedda’s powerful booking engine. AllBooked by Skedda is specifically tailored for venues that offer spaces to the community (beyond employees) and that sometimes charge money to use those spaces. If you’re an athletic facility, studios/creative space, event venue, coworking facility, therapy clinic, house of worship, or any other space open to customers, members, and the community, AllBooked is for you.

AllBooked’s goal is to make it easier for you to manage your venue, easier to set up customizable logic, easier for your customers to book spaces, and easier for you to charge money for those bookings. As part of the launch of the AllBooked offering, we’ve launched a new product development team that is building features that will only be available for AllBooked customers. That means that you can expect to see our software get better for you over the coming months and beyond.

Why did you create AllBooked by Skedda?

Skedda has become very workplace focused in the past two years. In order to better serve our customers who represent more community-based use cases, we’ve decided to launch a new business unit that is focused exclusively on serving your unique needs.

We recognize that our product enhancements over the last couple years have been very focused on offices, and that the product hasn’t gotten significantly better for non-office use cases. AllBooked is our way of changing that. We’re excited to significantly accelerate the rate at which AllBooked gets better for you, and will absolutely communicate updates as additional features become available!

What AllBooked means for your venue

What does AllBooked mean for my account? Is there anything I have to do to get ready for this change?

No action is required on your part, or on the part of your customers, members, or users. Your users will continue to be able to book spaces the same as before, using the same URL and same Skedda mobile app. The only thing that will change immediately for your users are minor cosmetic differences in the platform, such as different colors or wording in the software and emails (see below for more details).

The product you’ve come to know and love is not changing. The same support team you’re familiar with will be with you every step of the way as well. As a loyal Skedda customer, we are grandfathering you in on your current price.

What impact does AllBooked have on my price and how I pay for the platform?

The price of your plan has not changed, and we’ll continue to charge the payment method you have on file. No action is required on your part to continue paying for the platform.

What small cosmetic differences can I expect as part of AllBooked?

In the short term, the only change you’ll notice are small cosmetic differences in our application. We’ve aimed for these changes to be as unobtrusive as possible. Those differences include:

  • New default color and logo: For venues that have not uploaded a custom brand color and logo, there will be a new default color and logo in our left-hand sidebar, reflecting AllBooked’s new branding.
    • Venues with a custom brand color and logo will not be affected. For information on how to customize your venue’s color, click here, and for information on how to customize your venue’s logo, click here.
  • Minor language changes: We’ve made some small language changes throughout our software to reflect the new brand. For example, emails we send about accounts and bookings that previously referred to “Skedda” will now refer to “AllBooked by Skedda.”
  • New interface font: We've changed the user interface font throughout the product to reflect the AllBooked brand.
  • Small tagline added to booking page: The language “Powered by AllBooked” will now appear in small font in the footer of the booking screen.
  • Irrelevant settings pages removed: In Settings, we’ve removed certain pages that customers on AllBooked plans weren’t using anyways.
    • We have not removed any pages that your venue was previously using. However, if you have any questions about removed Settings pages, please contact Support.

These cosmetic differences do not require any change in how you or your users use our software.

When will these changes occur?

AllBooked by Skedda officially launched on October 14, 2024. From then on until the end of this year, we will gradually migrate venues to the new AllBooked branding. You will receive an email notifying you of your account migration two weeks beforehand. You will receive another email a few days before the actual change to your account.

Throughout the migration, there will be:

  • No price change - you’re grandfathered in on your existing price
  • No functionality change - you’re grandfathered in on your existing features
  • No change to your URL
  • No action required on your side

Is AllBooked part of Skedda?
Yes! AllBooked is a business unit within Skedda, focused on serving community-oriented use cases. AllBooked is built on the same core technology as Skedda, and offers the same space booking and management capabilities. Both AllBooked and Skedda are served by the same great support team.
How is AllBooked different from Skedda?
Skedda’s other plans are now called Skedda Workplace. They are focused exclusively on workplace and university use cases. Skedda Workplace and AllBooked by Skedda have a lot in common. Both are built on the same core technology, both offer extremely robust space booking capabilities, both are developed by the same company, and both are served by the same support team.

However, AllBooked by Skedda and Skedda Workplace are optimized for different use cases. Skedda Workplace is optimized for employee and student-oriented use cases, whereas AllBooked by Skedda is optimized for community-oriented use cases. If you’re an office or university, Skedda Workplace is probably the right product for you; if you’re an athletic facility, creative studio, coworking space, event venue, church, or other community space, AllBooked by Skedda is probably the right product for you.
How do I know if AllBooked is better for me?
It depends on your use case! If you’re a traditional office or university, Skedda Workplace is likely the best product for you, as it offers features like SSO, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace integrations, and a Microsoft Teams app that are specifically designed for workplaces.

If you’re not a workplace, AllBooked is likely the best product for you, as it offers pricing rules and payments functionality, as well as pricing that is more accessible for small businesses. Over time, we’re planning to build additional enhancements that will only be available on AllBooked, including membership management, additional pricing/payments capabilities, service and event booking, and more.
What future changes can I expect as part of AllBooked?
As part of launching AllBooked, we’ve stood up a new development team that is focused solely on building features for AllBooked customers. This team has an exciting product roadmap that includes membership management, additional pricing/ payments capabilities, service and event booking, and more. As these features are released, they will only be available for AllBooked customers.
Does AllBooked by Skedda have a mobile app?
AllBooked by Skedda shares the same mobile app as Skedda. To book spaces on an AllBooked venue, go to your app store and search Skedda. The app with the blue icon and Skedda logo is the right app to use!
If I don’t want to be part of AllBooked, can I go back to my old Skedda plan?

Skedda and AllBooked are built on the same technology and both offer the same space booking capabilities. If you migrate to a Skedda Workplace plan:

  • You will not get a lower price. In some cases, your price may increase, depending on your current plan and the price of the Workplace plan you migrate to
  • You will not get additional features that you don’t currently have on AllBooked
  • You will no longer have access to Pricing rules and Online Payments, which are no longer available on our Skedda Workplace plans
  • You will not get any of the future product enhancements planned for AllBooked
  • You will continue to receive marketing communications and new feature announcements focused on hybrid work

That said, if you still feel that you’re a better fit for Skedda Workplace, please reach out to our Customer Support team at info@skedda.com and they’d be happy to migrate you to a Skedda Workplace plan.
